Dark Parable: gorgeous hunk, addiction spirit, kitty

I dreamed of a young man who was very beautiful and who seemed to be my other soul. I didn't know him but when I met him and we hugged, a peace went through my body. I couldn't stop holding him but we had to part. I lived on an island or maybe he did. Forgot which. But there were no buses to get us to each other and he had no money to pay for a cab. A woman said to me: "he's a bit odd, you know. He had sex with my father. Just a bit needy. Are you sure about this?" I said, "That's okay. Don't worry about that." A TV crew came and was asking people about various stuff and I told them my story that I was 50 and had fallen in love with a 20 year old...and we couldn't get together. It seemed they were beginning to decide to do the show around me and this guy. I was wondering how I could get in touch with him because I didn't know his phone number. It's been years since I felt such deep love for anyone in a dream. Not sure if it was good though. Could be a seducing spirit.

In my other dream I dreamed a pastor I knew had an infant son who was demonized. She tried to cast the demon out but she didn't know how to do it because she hadn't studied it. I showed her hot it was done and she was surprised to see that I knew a bit more than she did in this matter. Seems she had moved into a house with an addiction spirit and the addiction spirit had made its previous owner addicted to video games. I always dream of confronting addiction spirits. In this case it was the same spirit of addiction that was responsible for substance abuse as well as video games addiction. Same spirit different manifestation.

I dreamed my cat squeezed itself into a large plastic bottle with a tiny hole. How she got in there I don't know but at first I thought she would get herself out. But then the more she breathed the more the bottle got sucked in and collapsed around her and soon it was almost the shape of her bottle and no room to move. I got nervous and bit the bottle with my teeth until I got the kitty out. I almost feel the bottle represents an evil spirit which takes on the shape of those it demonizes.

GOT THIS INTERPRETATION FROM ROSE MARIE OVER AT
http://pen-of-the-wayfarer.blogspot.com

I think it's totally dead on.

they all speak of things that, once they get in, they dont leave easily nor are welcome after they make themselves known. a relationship that looks ok, but underneath are big issues,
spirits that dwell in a house and then try to inhabit even a baby, and a cat who once ensnared in a bottle, cannot leave. to you, to the people who moved into the house, to the cat, it all seemed like a good idea at the time, but led to entrapment. beware.

Dark Parable: The baddies

I dreamed I was in a building which had many offices or schoolrooms. A skyscraper. Three bad guys in black with guns were roaming the building ready to attack. I knew them and they either knew me or didn't think I was danger to them or I had made a deal with them to not hurt me. Three others were outside, also in black but a bit more shadowy. It was a bit like the end of the world and everyone was very afraid of what the baddies would do and were sitting in a large audience area in the lobby of the building.

I put a cloak over my head, and realized that somehow looking out from under it there was a long beigish-goldish narrow passageway. Like a tunnel. Tunnel vision.

Suddenly Superman came in and saved us all and I jumped up clapping my hands and laughing. I said, "Ah, I thought this would all end very badly with disaster. It totally hadn't occurred to me that he could come in and save us all."

I think this connects with God wanting us to "Guard your heart with all your strength for all the things of life come out of it. Proverbs." Plus it was as if the church had built an audience and not an army. We were just sitting around doing zilch while the killers/stealers/destroyers roamed the building. Plus there is the negative expectation I had instead of putting the mantel/cloak over me and developing a Christian tunnel vision of trusting God to do a wondrous miracle.

Resisting the Devil

The Bible tells us to resist the devil and draw near to God. I've found that it's very hard to resist the devil when Christians are telling one that perhaps the bad thing in one's life isn't from the devil at all.

The Bible tells us:
The Lord is light and in him is no darkness at all.
Jesus had taken all our suffering.
God chastises us but he doesn't chastise his people will sickness unless someone has sinned a sin unto death. So sickness is never called a blessing in the Bible, it's called a curse.

It is very hard to fight against sickness when someone is telling you that it's really a blessing or that God has done it to bring for a blessing. The evil that the devil does, God can bring good from...but that doesn't mean God made the evil.

Should a sick person be sitting around saying, "Should I resist of accept this? Is this illness that destroys so many lives and leeches away our money from God or from the devil?"

To get rid of that confusion God makes it clear that he does not give people disease. True there are people who think that a thorn in the flesh means a sickness given to them from God. I don't believe that. The Bible specifically says it's a demon so why people make it a disease, I don't know. (Yet, even when they believe their illness is a thorn in the flesh given to them by God they go about trying to free themselves from it. Should they even do that, if God has given it to them? Why are they trying to remove what God has given them? Why don't they accept it and stop taking medicine)

But honestly, even if I did believe in thorns in the flesh, the only person who got it said he got it because he had such a wealth of revelation the thorn of flesh was given so he wouldn't be proud. Honestly, the folks who say they have thorns in the flesh never seemed to have gone to the seventh heaven! Nor do they seem to have had the kind of spiritual face-to-face chats with God that would make them proud.

So again, telling folks to accept the sickness in their lives or to think of it as a blessing is telling them to not resist the devil. God doesn't want us sitting around saying, "Uhm, now ...should I resist this bad thing or shouldn't I?"

Dark Parable: Maria and channel 99

Dreamed I walked into a bedroom -- either my son's or mine or my sister's-- and the TV was on. I turned it onto a channel I never watch. 99 or 98 and it just so happened that a music video show was on and a new music video of a favorite female artists which I had never seen was just beginning. I said, "Oh, thank you God." I do this a lot because it often happens in life that God does fun little flaky synchronicity things with me. So I was happy I was seeing this video from the beginning and either it was new or I'd always wanted to see it.

So the video starts and the singer -- who might have been Jordin Sparks or someone like that-- walks out into a school athletic field and towards some cheerleaders and they start spelling out a name with their bodies. M A R I A. Which was either the name of the singer or the name of the song. Then they all burst out laughing and the song begins. It really was very strange.

luck envy

Oh gee! I find myself envying the lucky. Especially the lucky folks who really are not as "spiritual" as I am but who aren't necessarily bad people. I guess I'm sorry about my life. Many of the psalms tell us not to envy the evil people because the prosperous evil folks will suffer in the end. But what do we do about basically normal people who just have this wonderful luck flow down into their lives?

I can't wish they "deserved" the luck because if I start doing that then in my mind I'm saying that good should only come to folks who deserve it. Then I'd be blocking blessings from coming to my life because worth would have to be measured. If I can't accept good luck happening to folks who don't deserve it, then why should good luck come to me? So, let luck be full of grace and flow where it will.

And yet, I do kinda feel sad about this kinda thing. Bad luck has come to me and much of the good that has come to me has been out of luck. But so much of it has been earned also. I just have to learn to rejoice with those who rejoice.

The Bible says "let every man be fully convinced in his own heart." What we allow ourself is what is good for us. I've been really wondering about my usage of the word "dang." I use it all the time. But then I heard this sermon about not saying darn because it's like I'm damning myself. I don't know if I believe that and yet...I do feel so unsettled when I use it that I'm trying not to use it any more. (Actually, as Yoda says, Do or do not do. There is no try."

As for luck, I've seen bad luck in some lives which makes me think that there is some kind of demonic assignment in someone's life. I have a friend who said over her son "If it weren't for bad luck he'd have no luck at all."

I'm sitting here listening to an interview on blogtalk radio about luck. I used to believe in good luck a lot more than I used to. It's good to reinforce the notion of good luck. I've often found that when I listen to stuff on believing for good stuff, that good often happens. I only wish it was more of a habit of mine to trust in good. But at least, I'm feeding my luck. I also visit a luck site sometimes. I suspect you know what I mean. Life is magical but I also believe we can train ourselves to feed either doubt or hope, just as we can feed good luck. Some of them are a bit too New Agey and the Christian in me thinks "uhmmm a bit too New Agey." Don't laugh but I don't want to cross over into some flaky semi-demonic mode of mind-over-matter-dealing with demons kind of thing. Yeah, I said don't laugh. But it's the truth... one has to be really discerning about the kind of spiritual teachings one allows into one's mind...even if one is desperate to get mucho bucks. But others fall in well with the kind of faith the Judeo-Christian God would like us to have. Just trying to bring luck my way regarding repairing this house. One has to be soooo careful.

So, what is a Christian supposed to think about luck, fortune, favor? Some Christians don't like using the word "luck." We Christians can be pretty legalistic. We may say we don't believe in luck yet at the same time we often speak so negatively. My mother used to say, "Who knows what will happen? God suffers not. He could make you die and leave the kids alone." Or people talk about "cancer running in their family." And every little conversation we have we get all negative. Jesus said in the day of judgment we will give account of every idle word. So although we say "don't use the word luck" we talk unbelief and despair a whole lot. A whooooole lot. I have to avoid some folks because it's part of the African-American style to talk about the man and what they want to do to us, or to talk about our troubles with foreboding and then20we say, "I just knew this would happen" whenever something bad happens. It's not bad to get into the habit of saying "The Bible says I'm blessed. The Bible says you're blessed. You're favored." Better than saying "good luck."

The other thing is that as Christians we believe words have power to bless and to curse. So God knows what we mean when we say good luck. But at the same time when we say favor and blessed instead of luck we remind the person that God is with them.

Although the King James Version reads:
Genesis 30:11 (King James Version)

11And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.

Genesis 30:11

The NIV and other language translations is:
Then Leah said, "What good fortune!" So she named him Gad.
Genesis2030:10-12

But then there's this.
Isaiah 65:11
"But as for you who forsake the LORD and forget my holy mountain, who spread a table for Fortune and fill bowls of mixed wine for Destiny,
Isaiah 65:10-12

Sure, a rich guy didn't come into my life to marry me when I was young, but I have a good hubby. May wonderful good luck continue to happen to me! -C

Sadhu Sundar Singh: Hymnologist and author of I have decided to follow Jesus

As one studies Christian songs -- especially the most famous of them-- one realizes how complicated the lives of Christians can be. Some of our best songs were written by people who still bring a lot of controversy.

One of the favorite Christian songs I have decided to follow Jesus was written by Sadhu Sundar Singh an Indian born into a Sikh family. The Sikhs are a religion in India that is monotheistic. They are neither Muslim nor Hindu but they are one of the main religions of India. Sundar persecuted Christians in the beginning but when he was contemplating suicide he had a conversion experience and became a Christian.

I have decided to follow Jesus

I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.

Though I may wander, I still will follow;
Though I may wander, I still will follow;
Though I may wander, I still will follow;
No turning back, no turning back.

The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
No turning back, no turning back.

Though none go with me, still I will follow;
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
No turning back, no turning back.

Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
No turning back, no turning back.

As John the Baptist Taught His Disciples

Once Jesus was praying in a certain place. After he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples." Luke 11:1
And also Matthew 6: 5 - 14

Nowhere in the Bible do we see John teaching his disciples how to pray. But he did. And it seems that Jesus had been with his disciples -- some of whom were also John's disciples-- a while without teaching them how to pray. That's odd. I find myself thinking, "Uhm, isn't that the first thing one would teach one's disciples."

But somewhere along the line his disciples developed the desire to ask Jesus for something he seemed not to have as yet offered. Another interesting thing I should meditate on.

The disciples might have seen some great miracles Jesus did. It might only because they saw him talking to God so often. And they began to realize that a close relationship with God was a good idea. From what we can see in the various gospels, it was a combination of these and other reasons that prompted them to ask Jesus.

Whatever the reason, they asked Jesus to teach them and I'd assume that the way Jesus
teaches people to pray would be different from the way John taught people to pray. There'd be some crossover and overlap of course. But John who knew only the baptism of water for the repentance from sin and who was a servant in the house of God would naturally teach prayer as a servant-minded water-baptizer would do. Jesus, on the other hand, baptized with the fire of the holy spirit. John was not worthy to untie his shoe. (And John is more worthy than most of us, even though the spirit was upon him.) Jesus was the son. The son can tell you how to ask the father for something. The son can tell you to use his name. The son can tell you how to speak to the servants and those in submission to you. So yeah, the son can tell you how to boldly go to the father, boldly command the tree to pick itself up, etc.

Most Christian ministers nowadays know only the water baptism of repentance from dead works. Like Apollos they are great preachers but they know only the baptism of John. And many of them say that the baptism of John is the only baptism necessary. Yes, they have God's holy spirit working in them because they are saved but they don't know the full gospel or they deny it?

I downloaded some videos from the elijah challenge website and what he says is below. It falls in well with what I was pondering about John the Baptist.

They know the prophetic way of praying and preaching but they don't know the kingly way of commanding. Jesus was Lord, Prophet, King, Savior, The True and Great High Priest. John was only a prophet. A prophet speaks to people and when they pray they pray as prophets do. He might also have had a bit of the priestly anointing as the old prophets did. A priest intercedes between God and man. In the book of Kings, Chronicles, and the Torah, those old prophets could pray for people who had sinned and could pray for the sick. But they really weren't priests. The priestly anointing, the prophetic anointing, the kingly anointing were all separated. In Jesus, though, all these anointings are one. So he prays differently and he has given us these same anointings: We are a holy people, a royal priesthood.

This means that we can pray to God for others (the priestly anointing) and we can speak to people and to the spiritual realm about God and God's power in us (prophetic anointing) and we can command sickness and demons in the spiritual realm (the kingly anointing.)

Jesus has taught us how to pray. In the Lord's prayer, in the statement about the fig tree, in the affirmation that we can command a mulberry to uproot itself and be planted in the sea (Mulberries require fresh water but hey, Jesus said if we have the tiniest purest faith and we can command it, the impossible can be done!) Hey, we can have more than we're able to ask or wish. It is not the greatness of the faith that matters but our endurance and what we believe in our spirits and in our hearts.

Lord, teach us how to pray! Amen. -C

Oh gee! Yet another sin brought to my attention

Envy.

Yep. First the Lord told me to deal with my wounded heart and my resentment about money and the proud heart it had given me. And now, he has gone out of his holy way to let me see my envious heart.

Weirdly it's an odd mix of jealousy and envy. And it has to do with the Cinderella issue. I've always known that I'm pretty peeved that I married a regular guy. I didn't mind it in the beginning mind you. But when one sees what wealth can bring then a normal guy doesn't seem quite as good. This is mixed with my love of fairytales. Deep in my heart I've always wanted to marry a prince (instead of a prince of a guy.)But that is mere fairytale stuff. But after snippy people judge one's house, weight, etc, one finds one's self wanting to "show them" and that ends up in my envious/jealous mind as being a wish for a rich guy so those who sniped at me would be envious. I suspect this could lead to an adulterous heart and am happy no rich guy -- okay, no rich straight guy-- ever came asking me for my (now-married) hand. And so am trying to work on that...not daydreaming about rich powerful men ...and keeping the imagination only on the novel level.

Will see. Why, oh why, does the Lord have to bring these things to my attention? Maybe they're getting in the way. After all, Job didn't have anger issues after bad stuff happened to him. He only developed anger issues after his friends came to enlighten him. They were good folks, I think. After all, they were defending God and no doubt if one didn't really understand what Satan does and if one is seeing so many devastations happening to a friend in one day and if one believes that God is sovereign and nothing can happen unless He ordains it....then one would challenge Job;s righteousness. But it led to Job having bitterness against church people. And when one has had church folks tell one that one must not have faith or else such and such and such and such and such and such would not have happened all at once, then all one can do is answer A) So, why does God punish me for what he allows you to do? or B) keep one's mouth shut. But then what happens is a bitter root. And that bitter root messes up one's ability to be healed, makes one sicker, and produces pride and envy.

I still wish to be richer than my judgmental Christian friends. But now am careful that I don't sit around wishing for rich young man to take me away from hubby. Will wish for hubby and I to get rich together.

Psalm 91

Psalm 91 is a psalm every believer should memorize and believe. The power in this psalm is amazing. It has done wonders and created many miracles and saved many lives.

The Psalm promises those who love God and cling to him and who are always spending time with him that God will protect them from all evils. Sudden evil, slow hidden evil, traps, conspiracies, natural evil. Look at the imagery and meditate on them.

Psalm 91

1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
